Description:

The 8th Wonder Theatre at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill, presents “Big River”, the Tony Award winning musical version of “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.” When asked who would want to see this show choreographer Phil Simmons responded, “Everyone! It’s absolutely rated G and geared for families to see together.”

Former Broadway performer and choreographer of “Big River”, Phil Simmons says, “This show is about the quintessential American boys—Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. It’s about following their journey from boyhood into the sometimes complicated and unfair “adult” world. I think everyone can identify with the journey, as everyone has to make that same trip….. It’s also worth mentioning that given the recent landmark election of an African-American president, some of the many messages that ring true in this story will be even more poignant!”
